Introduction:

West Michigan Weather is announcing that we are sponsoring a new contest this fall! Beginning Tuesday, October 1st 2024 we want to see your best fall color/foliage photos from across the great state of Michigan!

 

The winner of this contest will have their photo featured here on our website's homepage and on all of WMIWX's social media platforms and win a FREE West Michigan Weather Tee Shirt of their choice!

Contest Information:

• Start Date: Tuesday, October 1st 2024

• Last Day To Submit Photos: Sunday, November 10th 2024

• Public Voting Begins: Wednesday, November 13th 2024 - Details of voting will be announced at that time depending on the number of submissions received.

• Winner Will Be Announced By: Sunday, November 24th 2024

 

Contest Rules/Instructions:

To be eligible to win the contest you must adhere to the following rules and your photo must meet the following criteria!

1. Photo submissions open Tuesday, October 1st 2024

   1. Submissions close at 11:59 PM ET Sunday, November 10th 2024

   2. You may submit as many photos as you'd like!

   3. Submissions must be sent on the comment thread of the dedicated, pinned post that announces this contest on any of our Social Media accounts (Facebook, X [formerly Twitter], Instagram, or Threads)

2. The photo must be taken within the geographic boundary of the State of Michigan.

3. The photo must be unaltered. The use of Photoshop or other editing platforms to change the original photo is prohibited. Watermarks are acceptable and encouraged so long as they do not encroach on or distort the original image.

4. The photo, while other "subject(s)" are permissible, should be focused on the beauty of the vibrant colors of fall in Michigan.

5. You must provide your name, the location, date, and time of the photo with your submission.

6. Plagiarism and digital intellectual property theft are obviously prohibited.

7. You must complete the following actions on social media to be eligible to win:

   1. Follow our account on whatever platform you choose to submit your photo on.

   2. Share the contest announcement post and ensure that your account, or that specific post, is able to viewed by "everyone" in the posts privacy settings.
