School Closings & Delays For Wednesday 01/07/2026

Oops! We were not anticipating any school closures or delays this morning, hence the lack of a School Closing Outlook being posted last night.

Overnight, however, areas of dense fog developed, and residual impacts from icy secondary roadways across many of our rural districts in the northeast 1/4 of our coverage area did end up resulting in quite a substantial number of closings and delays this morning.

Of all the factors that we consider when creating outlooks, dense fog and secondary roadway conditions are probably some of, if not the 2, most difficult factors to forecast for. That, combined with the fact that Jonah was feeling a bit under the weather and wasn't really online yesterday, led us to not really see a need to issue an outlook.

We apologize for not having a prediction out last night, but in all honesty, even if we had, we probably would have indicated that we could not have reliably delineated any risk areas.
