This outlook does NOT reflect schools that are closed for Spring Break or other reasons.

No significant changes to our thinking for snow day chances tomorrow morning. While we are expecting an impactful system, the timing will simply not be conducive to causing school closures for Friday.

Computer weather models still favor a swath of 3 to 7 inches and perhaps isolated higher accumulations for areas along and north of the I-96 corridor. While this degree of snow accumulation would certainly normally cause school closings the timing of this snowfall will not be favorable for causing disruptions to the early morning school commute.

While snow will begin to develop and overspread the area by early morning Friday the heaviest snow accumulation will likely not occur until after the lunch hour.

We have however introduced slightly higher probabilities for closures in central/southern Muskegon and central/northern Ottawa County as some snow, perhaps up to 2 inches, may have accumulated by 7:00 AM.

There are definetly higher chances of some relatively more widespread early dismissals for areas that start to see travel impacts as a result of the snow, but as aforementioned, snow day chances appear low at best and will be localized to the far west-central lower Michigan lakeshore regions.
